Freedom had been hunted round the globe; reason was considered as rebellion; and the slavery of fear had made men afraid to think. But such is the irresistible nature of truth, that all it asks, and all it wants, is the liberty of appearing.

Biblical poems, are much more interesting, would you like some more?

I read the Bible.
I searched for the evidence.
I couldn't find it.

They said, "Just have faith".
That didn't make any sense.
I couldn't believe.

The problem with faith,
it's unfalsifiable,
thus self-deceiving.

Religions use faith.
I prefer to use reason.
More reliable.

Reason tells me that
without evidence there's no
reason to believe.

If that were not so,
why should I not just believe
you are mistaken?

If you tell me your
faith is based on evidence,
that would be knowledge.

If you say you know,
but cannot demonstrate it,
why should I believe?

If your evidence
is vague or inconclusive,
then why be certain?

Belief should only
align with the evidence
and go no further.

If you are not sure,
it is ok to have doubt.
That is honesty.

If you say you have
some conclusive evidence,
then why not share it?

My one last request,
please leave comments in Haiku.
Thank you for reading.
